Why Walk?

Healthy WalkWalking is the exercise of choice for many people who are overweight.

Using a pedometer can make walking motivating…set a goal of getting in 50 steps every waking hour.

This can be easy- take a walk around your work building several times a day, walk through the neighborhood, or take the stairs up and down a few times.

Begin by walking just a short distance, gradually increasing the time you walk…for example, add on 3-5 minutes every day you continue your walking program.
